against ODU is what got us in this tournament. If our guys gave up and lost by 15 I am not sure we get in. We showed guts that game. The kind of guts that get you into the NCAA tournament. That 2nd half on National TV got us past the eye test!

That, and humiliating Mason by 16. That wasn't even really a game after the first two minutes of the second half. If we played against Mason like we played against Drexel, we'd be tuning into the NIT Selection Show instead of listening to ESPN bash our school.

The conference run altogether is what got us into the tournament. That point win against Drexel to give us the opportunity against GMU which showed that we could play against them and take it to them too, winning by a very good amount. Then onto ODU, we made it a game with our late game run. I didn't watch the game on ESPN, but our fans and the atmosphere of the game were probably heard on the air nationally with during-play chants. We sold it bit by bit in the tournament against Drexel and then GMU, and then sold it completely with our game against ODU.

How can we get our guys to play with the intensity they have shown us from time to time throughout the year... We can be crazy good and then equally crappy... I hope ALL our players eat their Wheaties and are ready to rock -n- roll... We've got One Shot....

Agreed, the strong tourney showing and 2nd half comeback was huge. The Bracketbuster game had to help too...but really, I think that our selection is indicative of how good people viewed the league as being this year.
