The Best of the Rest

AG better start winning some games or somebody else might be bringing 'em to Richmond.

Sorry, VCU is gonna be looking for another new men's basketball coach before Alabama will -- book it.

Not an alum of Alabama or any other college. As my login name suggests, I am literally a fan of Anthony Grant. As I mentioned previously, I mostly just like coming here occasionally to stir things up b/c I know it drives some posters here crazy.

Makes me thankful I have a real life.

Is Alabama basketball that bad that you have to come here for kicks and entertainment? I don't imagine we'll be seeing you much longer. I do thank Anthony for his contributions to our program, but other than that could not care less about Alabama or him now. He's past history. You however, seem to have a problem with letting go. Anthony's not at VCU anymore, and you have no reason to be here.

Pretty much. It's about as far down the crapper as it ever has been. But, of course, it has an ill-prepared roster.

Then I guess it's not really the coach that drives our success.

I'm with "Wheat....He's not here, I don't care....although, it's fun to watch them lose from time to time.

oh i see. so it's ok to come on here as someone who USED TO root for vcu and rip on our team and small passionate fanbase as you jump from school to school, but it's not ok for us to not really give a crap about a former coach who left us.

thanks for clearing that up. it makes total sense.

I wish Grant well. I hope he does well at BAMA as I wish Capel much success at Oklahoma. It is the nature of the beast that coaches will move on. Heck Bill self left Illinois so did Gene Bartow. Roy Williams left Kansas. Rick Pitino left Kentucky etc.

We simply cannot establish a schizophrenic posture loving the our coach thinking he is the greatest one day and loathing him the next day when he decides to leave.

My issue with the fair weather fan is he is ripping VCU for no apparent reason. He needs to move on to a BAMA board. That is if he is a true fan of AG.

Yeah, I feel the same. You have to be pretty stupid to come on here and claim that our program and players have done nothing without Maynor and then claim that the coach you are a fan of who has a losing record as a head coach without Manyor is the greatest thing since sliced bread. As someone else said, this will be settled soon enough when we face Bama.
