Don't overlook Joey. He played great. Really good control of the game/good decision-making. We've got a very fine point guard.

Joey Rodriguez scored 9 points and dished out 8 assists with a partially separated shoulder. His AC band was causing him a lot of pain but he played through it and was very good for us. D2 calibre indeed.

Joey should be an all-CAA selection when it's all said and done this season.

Lee wanted no part of Larry. And Larry grabbed every rebound in sight in the second half.

POG = Coach Smart
nothing else to be said

POG not POY....POY is G. Lee....hahahhahahah..NOT!

I actually thought Smart's substitutions were smart (pun intended) and timely. He hopefully sent a message sitting Larry for the first 4:10 of the game and although ODU took the lead without Larry in there, we pretty much controlled the game when he came in til the buzzer sounded.

I will go on the record and say I don't expect us to win in Norfolk. I think we're capable, but the homecourt advantage is significant at the Stu and ODU is tough (read undefeated) on their homecourt. It's a rivalry and we've split for several consecutive years now. Though I think it would be awesome to beat ODU in Gerald Lee's senior night and the last regular season game for both teams, I'm quite happy with the split. Especially since some are saying that this ODU team could be the best CAA team in the past 20 years. ;)

This.

Bradford had a heck of a game as well. 16 points, 6 rebounds, and 3 steals.

Gotta give it up to KP though, GREAT night for the guy. Started all those games under Grant and has been pushed to a reserve role yet keeps a great attitude and it pays off on a night we're playing our biggest rival.
