SCHLEGEL - Michael William, of Rocky Point, LI, formerly of Bay Shore, LI, on April 1, 2009. Beloved companion of Jacqueline Arboleda. Loving son of Priscilla Schlegel and her companion Frank and Rudolph William "Bill" Schlegel, Jr. Devoted father of Maria, Diana and Nina Schlegel and step-father of Christian Rivera. Dear brother of Jill (Karl) Bocchieri and Leslie (Dave) Danowski. Cherished nephew of Sue Schlegel, Joyce Earle and Todd Schlegel. He will be truly missed by his loving nieces, nephews and cousins. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1/4 mile West of Robert Moses Cswy.). In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Michael's name to Memorial Sloan-Kettering Sarcoma Research, PO Box 27106, New York, NY 10087 or to The V Foundation for Cancer Research, 106 Towerview Court, Cary, NC 27513. Visiting Sunday 2:00pm until 4:30PM and 7:00pm until 9:30pm. A Religious Service will be held at the Funeral Homen Monday at 12:00pm. Cremation to follow.
