so i still, for whatever reason, have the national website bookmarked. checked it out today....

you guys have spoon, wilco, the national, of montreal, AIC, etc. all coming soon. very nice. heck, that stuff is no different than what we are getting here in chicago. the richmond music scene seems to be coming along nicely.

p.s.- go see spoon.

saw saves the day and new found glory there last week. killer show. NFG played their entire self titled album from 99-00.

Got tickets to see Ben Folds in a couple weeks. Saw him there last year and it was an amazing show.

I thought I saw you.

They were AWESOME.

Yeah, but you guys didn't get the Murder City Devil's reunion show, nor the H2O 15-year-anniversary show. ;)

The being said, I hope the National keeps pulling in good acts. Richmond has always had a great underground music scene, and it's good to know that with venues like the National "bigger" acts have a place to stop and play as well.

I took my then g/f there over a year ago to see the Marshall Tucker Band and John Boy and Billy as part of NASCAR week. We were probably the youngest people there, but I like classic rock. Great show.

Never been to the National... but the wife surprised me with a couple of tickets for Wilco (Valentines Day gift). Looking forward to seeing a quality band in a smaller venue... not much on the stadium concert scene. I’m an old middle-aged bastard… so we’ll be headin' up to the balcony looking for a place to sit down.

Either sit in the first row of the balcony or the very last row in the corner.

Elsewhere the leg room is crap. Also that show is sold out, so you can put your legs on the seat in front of you.

Thanks... We'll try to get out there early and hit the front row.

Heading out to see Ben Folds tonight.

Too hung over. St. Patty's Day and First two rounds of the tourney in the same week = drunk Banana.

Killer show.

Side note: ben folds is the chat roulette piano man. he did a live version tonight at the show and recorded it, that should be up on youtube soon, but here's a previous version for those that are unfamiliar: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=32vpgNiAH60
