"Dimi brings a wealth of coaching and playing experience to our men's tennis program," McLaughlin said. "He knows how to develop young people into their best version and does so with passion for the entire student-athlete experience. His championship mentality fits well with the championship culture we have at VCU. With the resources already in place and the new facility we plan to build, he will have all of the tools to win championships so I look forward to him continuing our success."

Although they opened the season with three losses, they were all against top quality opponents and the matches were very competitive. Under the circumstances, things are looking up.
