The Official Beat the Davidson Wildcats in North Carolina Thread

So I understand the men and women’s teams are flying together. I may be wrong but the women’s game has been moved up to noon and the men’s game has not? I understand because of tv the men’s game is staying at 5. If this is the case why move up the women’s game since they can’t come back until after
the mens game. Am I missing something?

They moved the Women's game from Sunday to Saturday. Folks above our pay grade likely kept the Men's game at 5 because of TV and have enough faith that they'll be able to make it back to the RVA before things go to pot from the storm (I don't), but if the Women's game was attempted to be held as scheduled there is a chance it would have to be postponed and they would be stuck down there for god knows how long.

Getting there is not going to be a problem. It is getting out of there that will be.

Looking at the current (Thursday evening 10 pm) models, the snow/sleet/rain is not expected to start until around 7 pm there. Problem is, if it is freezing rain falling when you walk out to the parking lot after the VCU win (7:30ish pm), you may not make it out of the parking lot.

If it holds off a bit, you might be able to get to 85 and headed north before it gets bad, if it starts as snow. I'm 3 1/2 hours away, at 70 mph. Models show it starting in my area around 10-11 as snow.

I'll be watching the models until Saturday morning. If I gets little better window, I'll be there. Just wish they would move it up a couple hours. Noon would be great. We have not missed a game yet this year.

I don't want the team flying at night in the evening if the weather is that bad.

Already, hoops' historians are billing this one as "Fmrick's Last Stand."

I really want us to win out, and I think we can.

However, I’d really like a convincing win tomorrow first to make us feel good. We’re long overdue on smacking a team. Tomorrow seems like a good opportunity
Yep, I know this comes off as coach speak, but our games in February aren’t remotely on my mind right now. If we can’t beat mid-ass teams like Davidson on the road and Richmond at home, then I can’t see us winning more than two of the five tough games down the stretch (Dayton X 2, at SLU, vs Mason, vs GW).

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I didn’t know the women’s game was originally scheduled on Sunday.

Selling my 2 tix for the game today. Was keeping an eye out for the snow but I also just threw my back out storm prepping so no way I’m going to make it

Where is/was (?) this, described as some as getting up shots on game day:

Just saw the actual post, I usual;y don't scroll down but so far on Instatrash, it hits you, like FB, with a ton of irrelevant/AI/Scam posts.
But just saw this associated wit that pic:
