Agree, this could be the under-achieving General Grant's final skirmish at 1200 West Broad Street.

With that, who remembers his inaugural trip to the VCU sidelines?

It wasn't until the fifth game of the 2006-07 season, against Hampton Nov. 25, that the long and lean coach debuted with his signature starched dress shirt with his look-alike young son as a ballboy.

I think it's debatable we have beaten too many teams better than Dayton. Sure they've taken some losses lately but they've also been right there with BYU, and beaten some middling Power 5 teams. I'd expect them vs. Tech or USF on a neutral floor to be a toss up

We’ve tried that and luckily enough we pulled heads out of a$$es enough to pull the wins out. Usually.

Waaaaaaay back when SLU slipped by us at the Stu and Mason very clearly beat us in Fairfax....VCURN was in a daaaaark dark place

Looking ahead, we saw 6 games that were VERY winnable, and I figured
Old Me with other teams...6-0....boom, fuggetaboutit
Current Me with this team...5-1?? Yea....I can live with that. 6-0 might be askin too much
Right after Mason loss me...3-3..AT BEST....ugh, these guys!!!

And here we are....6-0 later, firmly in 3rd...1 bad Mason game away from them, 2 SLU losses from them

Dayton's last 6?? Included SLU, but not too much harder than ours...2-4.....and without looking at the Dayton boards, I'm gonna assume that the sky is, actually, falling

But, they're a cornered rat...and a cornered rat won't shrink back and accept it's fate....it's gonna charge you and get aggressive. I know this for a fact from a house I once lived at in the 1700 block of Floyd in the mid 90's....so, the Rams gotta have a solid gameplan (yellow wiffle ball bat) that can withstand the charge of the cornered rat (Dayton)....and you can't miss when it's time to strike, otherwise Dayton will hide behind your fridge and then you'll have to drag out the fridge and smack the crap out of it until it comes at you again (Execute the game plan).

Let's Go Rams!!!!

ps-in the 90's.....I heard there were folk in Church Hill that kept a brick on top of their toilet seats so rats couldn't get in that way. So, feel free to enjoy that image in the back of your head tonight when you lay your head down to sleep :D
