The Official Beat the Elizabeth City State Vikings in the Stu on Black & Gold Friday Thread

I wasn’t really crazy about the idea of playing a DII school, but looking at the schedule this may end up being a crucial point in the team’s development this season. We had a few days to digest and analyze the 3 games we just played against quality opposition in Charleston. We now essentially have an extended break with a game in the middle that could serve as an opportunity to get live reps to work on what the staff perceives we are most deficient.

our next 3 games with EC, Ga Southern and Penn are all opportunities to fine tune after the MTE (the later two are slightly better than the early games with Loyola, md, Bellarmine and Merrimack) you always want at least one game against a Quad 3 or 4 after major breaks like Thanksgiving, Exams or Christmas breaks to work out kinks etc

our next two years MTE Atlantis and Maui will be great opportunities for us like Dayton etc
 
I have a friend who is like me fighting hard to get bills paid, and he and his mom are avid fans tonight iso seats to spend some quality time together, their ideal meeting of interests, if you can find a pair for them, please lemme know. I love seeing them having fun together. I'll pass them on, and they'll be grateful. Thanks, folks.

We should do well tonight but at the same time I don't want us to fall into a sense of complacency. Be it ever so humble. I'm showing my age here but I remember the Chaminade UVA game many moons ago. Along that line , howzabout UMBC vs UVA in the Dance? It's a good game tonight , as already stated, to find out early on what we can improve on, e.g. 2 much fouling and such. We will be a team to reckon with , 2 be sure , this season. So... with all that in place.... GO RAMS!! Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving!

The Vikings' first through fifth players are not nearly as good as VCU's ninth through 13 .... an intra-squad scrimmage would be more helpful in terms of development .... this is just to pad the W-L record and pad statistics.
