So many things involving VCU send the statisticians scurrying for the record book.

Could this be the first time in hoop history that a 15-1 team (including 11-0 at home) is the betting-line underdog on its own floor against a conference foe?

This reveals both the real and perceived dominance of VCU in the A10.

There aren't more than a handful of programs across America that would receive that much respect.

Gmu is a paper tiger. Even with their easy schedule their defense is 134th. These are two offensive minded teams- we need our defense to suck a little less than theirs and we'll be fine. There's no reasonable excuse for us to lose this game. Look for a 12-point bounce back VCU win on the road that will be flirting with Q1 territory.
