The Official Eric Maynor NBA thread

Sloan on the John Thompson show got a Maynor mention didn't say anything we already don't know said the guy that pass the ball doesnt have to worry about getting a ride home line again.

Needs to work on his body etc

Nice line from Doc Walker by dropping the VCU name and draft pick

ok this is awesome!
Utah Jazz blog, Jazzbots, has begun referring to Eric Maynor as Darth Maynor.
and then continue by saying...
He controls the game like Darth controls the mind.
I have never heard this nickname for E man but I love it lol

I also found this pretty amusing...

Eric Maynor and Paul Millsap played a mean game of chess in the hotel lobby after the game on Saturday. Millsap felt the always talkative Ronnie Price was giving his fellow point guard a few too many helpful hints. “You talk too much,” said Millsap. Maynor with the assist from Price was victorious and then took his pink suitcases with him to his room.

Final preseason game for the Jazz, they win 95-85 over Sacramento. Maynor posted 13 points on 5-8 FG, including 2-2 from deep. 1-2 FT, and 2 each for blocks, assists and rebounds. (also, Deron Williams had a +10 PPS while Maynor had a +16, nice little side note...) Also interesting, Utah only played nine players, while the Kings used eleven...They relied pretty heavily on Tyreke Evans, he provided almost 1/4 of their scoring

Yeah, very nice game by Maynor. Played nearly 30 minutes.

On another note, Kyle Korver is going to have knee surgery, which means Williams and Price may be getting some more minutes at the 2, leaving more minutes for Maynor than initially thought.

Real nice Amazing night!

btw. I heard something about NBA cutting back to 14-12 players because of the economy. Please tell me its not true.

Wednesday night. 10:30, ESPN. Jazz vs Nuggets, E's first game of the official NBA season!

Milwaukee will still carry 15 this season but would have preferred 14 for flexibility and injuries, Bucks general manager John Hammond said. But are smaller rosters more about roster flexibility, or the economy?

"They go hand in hand," Hammond said.

As long as I get to see Amazing play Wed Night on TV, I could care less about the league minimum of 13. Thanks for posting that Longwood.

Sorry if this has already been posted, but the Jazz's second round pick Forward Goran Suton was waived last week. He didn't even get a chance to play on the D-League team. Second round draft pick = expendable :?

wow...glad eric is playing so well!

At the half of the Jazz/Nugnuts game, I saw Eric drive up the court with 7 seconds left and not get a shot off, other than that, the most i saw him do was sit next to Okur and look at his leg...come on Utah, give him a chance even though its a close game!
