Any subject of LaSalle makes me think of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

With newspapers in fast retreat all over, you wonder how the Inquirer can do justice to the Eagles, Phils, Sixers, Flyers and Union, plus six Division 1 schools (including LaSalle), many other smaller colleges and probably 100 or so high schools.

Tough luck making the front page if you're LaSalle.

And while Richmond Newspapers are little more than a fading memory of what they once were (two papers prior to 1992), VCU and UR are treated like royalty., in the Spiders' case, even during a dreadful season.

Day 1 of my final 3 all day classes which is central time so won’t be finishing until right before game time so will watching from home. No emotional let down. Just come out and stomp them.

We won’t be able to go. Anyone want our tickets?
I know a duo who would LOVE them. They don't have a lot of money, but it's a dude and his mom who love spending quality time together, who you just love seeing at their favorite thing, a VCU game.

LaSalle = The Traveon Graham Game. I remember Tom Gola fondly to this day.
I was a junior at VCU and took the Alumni Bus up to Philly with my dad on that Friday. We went to a VCU party that Friday Night and took a cab to Pat's and ate a cheesesteak in like 15 degree weather. This was a Saturday Noon tip-off and I remember being so pissed that game thinking we were about to drop to 3-2 in A10 play (3-1 record at the time). La Salle missed some FTs, Tre and Juvonte went nuclear late and forced OT. Then..... Tre missed a FT late in OT which made it go to 2OT! Rob B hit a few late 3s in 2OT to finish the game off. Lots of fun at Tom Gola and La Salle was fresh off their 2013 S16 run so their was juice in the arena.

Best part of all was when we hopped on the VCU bus to head home.... It was snowing as we boarded and right before we left a VCU representative said something along the lines of "Sorry, we have a 5 minute delay because a special guest has an announcement". The guest was Gerald Henderson Sr who hopped on the bus and thanked us for coming up and said "Go Rams". Cool moment!
