Ron was an academic advisor at VCU and died at a young age of 58. "He was affiliated with several organizations in Richmond, notable the first AAU Boys Basketball program, Squires Richmond as a volunteer coach. He was committed to the spiritual and moral growth of boys creating an environment through the discipline of basketball whereby they can develop into good citizens and role models in their family. He was an avid sports enthusiast and supported his alma mater, Virginia Union. He was a fan of Philadelphia sports... " Too young to die, and definately be missed by VCU students and faculty.
