The real Fab Five

With all this talk about the new recruits we seem to have forgotten that we have a Fab Five already.

Joey (top twenty pg), Ed (All State), Brandon (State player of the year), Skeen (top 100 player nationally), Bradford (All State).

IMHO these guys are real Fab Five at VCU. Let's give them their due. I am not sure, but I suspect that they have won more games in a three year period (Jamie only has 1.5years (one playing, a half practicing and Bradford only 2), than any other group. If not they have to be in the top three.

Why not celebrate the guys who are here and have given us many great moments ? Let's save the accolades for the new guys once they prove they can get it done at the same level as the Fab Five above?

Again, I am really excited about next year and seeing the real Fab Five continue to dominate.

Why dont you guys who have all the inside connections and great info generate some threads about these guys?

Heck even a thread or two about Theus, and Daniels would be welcomed.
 
Obviously any success we have next season will be largely because of the 5 that you mentioned rather than the new 5, but I think everyone is already aware of what those guys bring to the table. Summer is the time to talk about recruiting.

Recruiting not recruited players. Lets talk about kids we have on the radar not five we already have in the fold. As stated, they are already rams.

My point is why keep going on and on about how many stars a kid we have already signed has or what people are saying about a recruit we have signed over and over and over again?

If summer is about recruiting let's continue to discuss Kasey Wilson until he signs, and kids like AJ English's son who is getter better and better.

If we have to discuss the accomplishments of one of our newly signed players, let it be about what they did in a all star or summer game. If not please someone tell be what troy Daniels is doing to get better, how many jump shots is Theus taking, or what is the conditioning routing for the Real Fab Five etc.

I'm with you, Bucky ... but if we use our imagination we can still have fun.

The real basketball Fab Five was Chris Webber, Jalen Rose, Juwan Howard, Jimmy King and Ray Jackson ... although The Disney Fab Five is Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Donald Duck, Goofy and Pluto ...

RamHoops cries for originality ... so how about the "High Five" or "Gimme Five" or "Five Guys," in honor of the burgers and fries emporium beckoning Rams fans, across Broad from The Stu.

Better yet ... did you know The Stu is close to bordering the city's Jackson Ward, an historical African-American community previously known as "Harlem of the South" and "Black Wall Street."

So to VCU hoops loyalists, I present you ... The Jackson Ward Five.

i am. not sure what that has to do with hating my response.

back on topic....bighorn, there is another fab five that goes by the names of kyan, thom, jai, ted, and carson. they have become very succesful young men. if our guys can accomplish even half of what these guys have done with their lives, we are all in for a big treat.


AND, should one of these guys de-commit, we could have a modern day beatles on our hands. stay tuned....

Pluto isn't a planet any more, so Disney is down to four.

I would just like to interrupt you and say, get off the computer and go count Theus' jump shots. And what the heck is Troy Daniels eating for breakfast? Does Bradford still think he is a vegetable? Is Joey Rodriguez 5'2" or 5'3"? Burning questions.

Bradford on whether he thinks he's a vegetable: He never thought he was.
