Love TJ, but when he went to the line instead of Joey or Ed I knew we might be in trouble...
Absolutely. I turned and told at least 2 other people that I thought it was a bad move to have Brad inbound the ball in that situation. I thought TJ should have been throwing it in, which of course meant it may have been Brad on the line instead.

i really felt like skeen should have been in instead of TJ in the overtime minutes. especially after Teej missed that key free throw at the very end of regulation. yes he did hit 2 key free throws in OT but skeen is who I would have had taking Larry/KPs place along with saintil. everyone I was watching with was blown away by this

Here is where I though coach made a mistake. You know they are going to foul so why put a guy who is not a good free throw shooter on the floor?

Our foul shooting had been crappy the last couple of games and I was worried it was going to hurt us at some point. Overachieving teams don't miss foul shots.
Skeen in instead of TJ? Maybe, but Skeen had a tough night at the line and his FT shooting hasn't been great. As much as he gets to the line, we need him to hit them at a high percentage.
Maybe even Brandon in instead of TJ.....need free throw shooters. Brandon is playing/shooting with ZERO confidence right now though.
We have been the BEST free throw shooting team in the CAA all year, but the past 2-3 games it has been dangerously bad, and it bit us when it counted today.

clearly we needed to make more FTs... and the late misses were especially critical situationally..
but it also goes both ways, we were the beneficiaries of some Mason FT misses too, without which we probably don't even make it into OT

I don't know about that, Brandon really short armed his one free thrown attempt and from what I remember it was in an important point in the game.
Nixon missing two big ones was the most alarming.
