Max is the third VCU player to win A10 player of the year in the last 5 years (Bones in '21, Ace in '23), and only the seventh VCU player ever to win a conference player of the year award (Calvin Duncan, Bernard Hopkins, Domonic Jones, Eric Maynor twice, Bones Hyland, Ace Baldwin).

My brain wants to remember Vince Williams winning POY, but he didn't.

I am Chalkley House 79. I was the RA there in 78.
I just missed ya. I had way too much fun there. I know they kept the dorm facade up for awhile but then, of course, razed the rest. It was in questionable condition when I was there. Someone said it served as a cat house at one time (the 2-legged kind). Not when I was there. Drat the luck. Probably would have flunked out.
Anyway, enough of college days lore (of course I brought it up!). Let's go Rams! I'm moving to another house all weekend starting Friday so I will miss most of the action but it sounds like Mistachill is providing you tube coverage? What a guy! It may be best that I don't watch it live. I get 2 wound up. My wife says the announcers can't hear me. Probably true. We're gonna do this! Keep the faith!

That, and free throws.
Speaking of free throws. Do you remember us hitting 8 in a row in the final minute to win our first A10 title in 2015?

What a wild week. First game, barely escaping Fordham, Second game, come from behind victory against UR to avenge the regular season sweep. Third game, absolutely crushed #24 Davidson after they'd beaten us by 30 two weeks prior. Fourth game, beating Dayton, avenging another regular season loss. Not to mention the whole "Let's win it for Briante" aspect of the whole run.

Let's hope we can capture that magic this week.

Remember it well. Won four games in row. One of the best sequences that I have ever observed by the Rams.
