The Village on Diner, Drive-Ins, and Dives

Pretty sure that was taped a year or two ago. Our very own "sometimes" was part of the show if I'm not mistaken.

I watch every week waiting for the Myocardial infarction

I love that show, and basically everything that food network has to offer. Pretty tight seeing a local hangout on there though.

Yeah it's a little old, but still cool.

Ace of Cakes? I stopped by for a photo op after the O's game.

Love the Village.

I am definitely obsessed with the Food Network. I've been trying to hit up as many places on there as possible...(which isn't a lot at this point but does include)..

1. The Village (Diners)- Duh, had been going there all throughout undergrad.
2. Dot's Back Inn (Diners)- Personally...didn't dig it at all. Got a dish that was on the show and thought it was bad.
3. Buzz and Ned's (Throwdown) - Love that place, but their ribs don't come close to the best in VA (King's Corner Catering apple cider vinegar ribs...not sure they even exist anymore..but amazing)
4. Doughnut Plant (Throwdown) - My girlfriend lived in Brooklyn this summer and I hit up Doughnut Plant or there doughnuts at Dean and Deluca (sp?) whenever I got the chance. Tres Leches doughnut was amazing...really love their peanut butter and jelly doughnut...but I still say Krispy Kreme OG glazed right off the wrack is the best. Also, the best friend of the crazy guy who runs the place (he was on the episode) was awesome.
5. Caracas (Throwdown) - Their arapes are amazing. I got the one with the pork, black beans, cheese, fried plantains and whatever else was on it...soooo good. Also had really good guac and chips.

We also tried to go to that cookie place that was on Throwdown that's on the Upper West Side but we couldn't find it to save our lives. I swear I think I'm forgetting a couple of places as well.

The Virginia Diner in Wakefield also made the "Diners" show. It's takes a little more time to drive to the coast down route 460, but you arrive a lot less harried and one of the reasons why is stopping at this place for a personal refueling.

I too am obsessed with Food Network, especially Iron Chef America.

I was there last Sunday.
My best friend/other half went on a Sunday drive. Took the Ferry over at Surry.
The fried chicken was great and so was the sweet potato dish they had. Good Times.

Thats pretty tight dude. Yeah Im a fan of virtually all of the shows. Favorites being Good Eats, Chopped, Iron Chef, any of Bobby Flays joints, and of course Ace of Cakes.

We have a family tradition of stopping at the Va Diner onthe way to the outer banks. They now have a buffet of all the goods...great fried chicken
