Didn't see this mentioned elsewhere, but Coach Smart said in his presser that this was TJ's 100th win as a Ram. That's a very impressive number.

Congrats TJ!

darn, I just bumped one of the other threads to comment on this. I guess I forgot to refresh the page first. Any way, congrats to TJ. This is going to be a tough record to beat, but I look forward to watching guys try.

TJ ends with 103 wins as a Ram, as great as that is I bet it won't stand past next year. My math might be wrong but next years seniors will need 25 wins to break that. And from what I have heard from folks on here with our non-conf schedule thats very doable.

You mean with the guys we are bringing back and the team we'll have next year. WE ARE GOING TO BE GREAT! WHEN we win 25 games next year it will be more because of the talent then the schedule. :D

They would actually need 28 wins to tie TJ's record and 29 to break it. The records in my sig line are the 4 years that TJ played. The rising senior class wasn't around for the 28 wins in 2006-07 so that is how far behind they are.

Well, my math was actually correct, but apparently I can't follow years chronologically. I skipped 07-08. Thanks for the correction. Thats a steeper hill to climb.

It happens to the best of us. I would love to see the record broken, but it very well could be one that stands the test of time. It is somewhat fitting that TJ holds the record on his own however. Virtually everything about VCU basketball and several major things about VCU have changed since TJ first stepped onto campus yet he was able to be extremely successful. A lesser man might not have had the fortitude to see his journey at VCU through to the end. Sometimes guys transfer when they lack playing time, experience injuries, or when the head coach leaves. TJ has experienced all of those things at various times but never gave up. He was rewarded with 103 wins and a degree from VCU. He certainly deserves to have his name in the record book.
