Tom Pecora out at Fordham

How isn't it fair? I'm not saying it's easy to win at Fordham, but he wasn't doing it.

If they hire the right coach, he'll keep their core intact. They're not that bad of a team. Sum of the parts is okay. Have a good number of usable guards, plus sengfelder and paschall.

I'm glad they did it. League can only get better.

Fordham has some talent, that much is clear. Unfortunately, they didn't have the coach to effectively use that talent. Hopefully they'll find someone decent (Anthony Grant? Nah...).

On a separate note, Syracuse fired their athletic director and announced that Jim Boeheim's last season as Syracuse's coach will be 2017-18. He's got 3 years left at Syracuse.

Man, this next season is going to suck to watch for Pecora.

I thought that Fordham was going to have a great turnaround next year. They'll have some talented Sophomores (Paschall and Sengfelder), a great mix of Juniors (Sever and Anderson) on the court and a couple good Seniors to anchor them (Rhoomes and Thomas.) They lose 2 seniors, the only significant loss being Bryan Smith. They have another Senior that received a medical Redshirt (Eric Canty) who will be back next year.

I think they will do some damage. Shame Pecora won't be around to see the fruit of his labors.

At least we have three years to fully speculate who his replacement will be.
