Folks I'll admit it, I'm a christmas nut. My halls have been decked ever since that final Thanksgiving helping digested. And one thing I can't get enough of, is Christmas movies.

So I ask you...what are your top 5 Christmas movies?

For me...in order

1. Rudolph (old school one...just takes me back, thought it was magical as a kid)
2. Home Alone (ditto)
3. Elf (modern classic)
4. National Lampoon's: Christmas Vacation (family tradition, my dad cracks up to this one)
5. Scrooged (Bill Murray = best Scrooge ever)

1. christmas vacation. not even remotely close. when clark w. griswold flies down that hill, i still crack up like the first time i saw it.
2. a christmas story
3. home alone
4. bad santa
5. it's a wonderful life

In order:
1. It's a Wonderful Life
2. Elf
3. Home Alone
4. Miracle on 34th Street
5. NL Christmas Vacation

Worst Christmas Movie: A Christmas Story

Motion to ban

1) A Christmas Story
2) A Christmas Carol
3) Home alone
4) Charlie Brown Christmas
5) The Santa Clause

Hon Mention : Jingle All The way & the Grinch

Ya'll sit on a throne of lies! Let me be honest with you. A Christmas Story wouldn't be that bad if the darn thing wasn't playing for freaking 24 hours every freaking Christmas. I'm just sick and tired of it. How can you hate on Elf?

To each his own I guess.
I was looking at a list of the top Christmas movies and they had Die Hard on the list. Hard to picture that one as a Xmas movie, but Badass none the less.

I saw that list too - only connection is the heist takes place during an office Christmas party...

In a landslide. Also enjoyed Bad Santa, Home Alone, and Santa Clause. I realize that is not 5 but I don't watch many movies.

1. Nat. Lampoon's Christmas Vacation
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (the original, not that Jim Carry abomination)
3. Trading Places (Merry New Year!)
4. Scrooged
5. A Charlie Brown Christmas

Anyone who denies National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation ISN'T the best Christmas movie of all time is either 85 years old and went to school with Jimmy Stewart himself or a crackhead (no offenseto all you crackheads).

It is both absurd and true-to-life
eloquent and brash
heart-warming and disgusting
Randy Quaid could make snuff films until the day he dies, and I'd still give him a pass for giving us Cousin Eddie.
Shame on the philistines and unwashed non-believers

2-Christmas Story
3-It's a Wonderful Life
4-White Christmas (I like sappy old stuff w/Bing...not as epic as High Society...but really pretty good)
5-Scrooged

honorable mention...Gremlins, Muppet Christmas Carol and Bad Santa
Hate with a passion that burns white hot...Jim Carrey's Grinch, Santa Clause...I'd say Jingle All the Way, but it has Phil Hartman....who should be revered for all the comedy greatness he birthed.

Big fan of this list, but A Christmas Story has to be in there somewhere.
