Just wanted to let you guys know that we just finished our season preview for Mid-Majors, and VCU, ODU and GMU made the list of teams we are watching for at-large consideration early on in the season. A team review, outlook, player analysis and list of important games are all to be found in the team reviews.

For the record, I also included that as of now, ODU is not an at-large candidate based on current play, but has the chance to be were they to put together a good stretch of games. The cases for GMU and VCU are also made along with several A-10 teams, several MVC and a couple other good mid-majors.

We also added William and Mary and Richmond to the "teams to watch" list.

If the mods for RamNation disapprove of me pimping my site on your site, I totally understand and will have no problem if you remove this post, but I figured since we did preview VCU, you might want to read about it, even if you don't necessarily agree with what he have to say.

I found Razor's web site to be informative, well researched, logical and entertaining to read. Just the opposite of his posts here and on other forums.

That is the worst part about it, he knows that the stuff he posts on the boards is crap but chooses to say it any way. If he can't even buy what he is selling then why should we? I have read enough previews, it is time to watch some basketball. We know what we have got, we just have to wait and see if they can get it done.

Ok, now I am posting my prediction...no link needed:

The CAA who has gotten two teams into the NCAA on only a couple of occasions is sort of on the edge of doing it again. But if you ask me, they are the same # 14 ranked conference they have always been...and always will be. They may or may not get a total of two team into the dance.

Right now VCU has beaten some teams they might not have beaten...or may have depending on your side of the fence. The same goes for GMU. ODU beat all the teams they were supposed to but lost to the team they might have beaten depending on your fence.

It is all a bit early in the season...a couple of supposed upset, a number of expected victories. Who knows what will happen during the conference. After all, being the #14 ranked conference for over a decade....it is the conference season and tourney that matter.

Prediction:

VCU goes to the dance after winning the regular season and Tourney championship
GMU goes to the dance just because we feel sorry for them and they won games they might not have
ODU wins the the new "Best of the Least" tourney and is predicted to be the kings of the CAA in 09-10

Well, the real question is whether they will fire Blaine iF they don't go to the NCAA. How many years can you be picked to be at or near the top of the heap, then not make it?

I watched the Missouri game on replay over the weekend. If I were the AD down there I'd fire him just from that game. They were making a good comeback and he pulls all five guys. Talk about a rally killer. heck, it was worse than when the wave starts at the SC! 8-)

It's not were you are picked in October, it is where you play in March.
