Maybe I’m wrong but who did we get against deep pockets? We lost Silas and Reid simply because of a big check last min. At some point the money takes priority over school preference.

He likes our original offer enough to schedule a visit. It’s not like UVA and Iowa St have money issues. Not saying he is a lock by any means, but apparently we are competitive (our NIL is better than it was in years past for sure)

Friggin So Cal on Demary. .this after multiple OV's...his parents all chummy with fans...and getting Bones attendance on his last OV.

We did everything right by the book...the bags won anyway....

Then our staff got played by Reid...we waited and waited for him to announce his commitment and passed on bunch of bigs only be stuck with this years front..

We cannot make the same mistakes again..or we waste a really good returning backcourt....we need a consistent scorer inside to get back to the dance...

We are going to miss out on recruits but also get a lot of recruits. We should be trying to get good players lol. Last time I checked we ended up in the same post season tourney as Reid and Silas last year with the players we were able to recruit despite “wasting time.”

i don’t think the staff was sitting on their hands waiting for them either.

This is true of ALL schools save for the big boys and blue bloods at the very top. Everyone misses on the majority of the players. There are so many players out there in the portal that we will get our guys regardless.

We haven't had a problem in the last few years getting our guys, despite not being a big money school.
