Recruiting Transfer Portal

What is an edible? Anyway. Relax guys. We got this. Coach was brand new to the program last year and we had some good portal players! This is an exciting time!!

Yep, been wondering myself as to why a mid major coach would ever invest the time and effort to recruit HS players again.
Not even that. P5 can sit there until last min and poach any transfer player too with a big check. But yeah morons like Seth Davis try to say this help mid majors. F him.

So you are saying we should shut down this thread and end all speculation on future players until Odom and his staff have filled the positions. Got it. Well, at least we won't have to read anymore of your posts in this thread then since you are just sitting on the sidelines awaiting confirmed signings.
No, read my post.

With all the portal and NIL management required in today's college basketball, I had mentioned a week or two ago, as a question, if teams are now going to have to start hiring general managers. Guess what, it's starting! WVU just hired their first ever general manager for their men's team.
I'm sure this will turn into a growing trend...and an expensive one if the general managers also requires extra staff and resources. This will be an additional impact on mid-majors trying to compete.

I actually like this idea a lot. People didn’t think analytics person made sense now many teams have one. A person focused on personnel and recruiting full time would be great

We need to unionize College players, negotiate a collective bargaining agreement between universities and college players, implement a hard salary cap and then institute revenue sharing.

How would unionization work in a right-to-play state, i.e., kids that want to play but not in a union? Perhaps we outsource our Rams to Mexico and pay them less? 🤪

Are the professional NFL, NBA and Baseball players being outsourced to Mexico to pay them less? Or do you just have a hardon against unions in general.
