Recruiting Transfer Portal

OMG that is too funny. had to check the date at the bottom of the tweet....to think he first appeared on this forum in 2016!!!
He was a commit for a hot second in 2018

dude has made a few stops over the MANY years...dude's what....24? 25?

I think we have recruited Easley all 5 times he was/is available. Now we are at it again. Always the bridesmaid, never the bride with him.

Yeah, I have no idea what kind of player he's become with those 14 years of college experience. As I recall he was considered a really high prospect around his freshman and soph. years in high school as a post player, but he stopped growing and transitioned to a wing. Now it looks like he has good power forward size. Is he finally ready to live up to the early high school hype as a big? If so we could use that size.

Eh, he's a 6'7" super-senior forward who couldn't cement a starting spot at Coastal Carolina last year. If he fills spot #13 and comes without any expectations about minutes, I can't hate it. Injury protection.

No, would have to RS but you can get the jump on having to recruit them in the spring.
Larry was a consensus top 100 recruit and is a power guard. He is big at 6'4" and 200lbs. and is a real dog on defense. His wing-span is close to 6'9" and he is an explosive athlete. Attacks the rim real hard with either hand but is still refining his perimeter game. What is interesting is that he would have 4-years of eligibility. Top 100 guard with that type of eligibility is worth taking a hard look at. He is an East Coast guy(Georgia) and VT was very involved with him as a freshman. He will be in high demand.

I want to know why a top 100 recruit is redshirting this year. Either Creighton is already loaded for bear or he has some weaknesses that have impacted his ability to play his freshman year - not saying he is a poor player - VCU's Martin is redshirting (I presume) due to his thin frame/lack of muscle and perhaps stamina needed at the college level....doesn't mean he is a bad player, just a current weakness.

Also, his relative youth. He just turned 18 in July, I believe. Of course, that could be related to the thin frame and lack of muscle, because it gives his body a bit of time to mature.

Creighton is an perrenial upper echelon big east power. They lose alot of upper classmen at the end of the season and he would alot of playing time next season..

so why is he transferring now before conference play? does he have any baggage?

I would prefer we go after a known commodity prospect with a solid positive history with his previous team.
