That's pretty much the same logic used to choose Wheeler and Nelson. I guess it's too much of a task to find a proven scorer out of 3200 D1 prospects in the portal.

Honestly, I want the VCU staff to go after Tyon Grant-Foster and an employ Mi'kel Simms to close him. Simms says he's within budget.

Simms and foster have known each other since their juco days. Foster was ranked the 2nd best juco player in the class of 21 right behind Jalen Suggs.

Foster signed with Kansas, didn't get the PT, transferred to Depaul..faired better but had a heart attack, transferred to Grand Canyon and became a star(2 NCAA appearances).

But he and Simms are tight...Simms closed 4 recruits for VCU one year..maybe he can get do it this time.

Kind of a weak connection, but I think we need a scoring wing and looks like Bryant was one of two scholarship offers out of high school.
