Kind of a weak connection, but I think we need a scoring wing and looks like Bryant was one of two scholarship offers out of high school.
Yes and Yes!

He's a guard. If I have to choose between(6-0) Nowell and(6-6) Mister Dean, a 15 ppg scorer...who gets points in transition and can post up..I'm going with Dean.A Belle replacement. Not really a perimeter scorer -- based on stats.
Do you think you could hold off on your anti- Nowell posts while we are trying to recruit him? Pretty sure he isn't reading our forum, and if he is, I hope he has you blocked. He's a guard. darn man.
Why not both? Two very different players who do different things on the court. We may not know if Nowell will be the player he was expected to be out of high school (top 30 is a pretty rare find for VCU), but you don't know if any high school recruit is either, but you still recruit them because you know enough to be pretty sure. Nowell had a rough first year with injury, illness and good players in front of him. Mister Dean looks good on highlights, puts up points, rebounds, at least at a bit lower level than A10. Whether his skill translate up, we'll see. Also at least the Wake Forest fans seem to want him pretty bad. I think we can get both if we want though. He's a guard. really? who else?Simms and foster have known each other since their juco days. Foster was ranked the 2nd best juco player in the class of 21 right behind Jalen Suggs.
Foster signed with Kansas, didn't get the PT, transferred to Depaul..faired better but had a heart attack, transferred to Grand Canyon and became a star(2 NCAA appearances).
But he and Simms are tight...Simms closed 4 recruits for VCU one year..maybe he can get do it this time.
What part of do both don't you understand? What is your expectation for next year's team? Do you see it as a rebuilding year or an A10 title?
If the latter then VCU needs to signed experienced, proven scorers at every position. Aside from Evans and maybe Mitchell, VCU has nothing but benchwarmers and rotational players.
The portal is filled with experienced, skilled point guards who come in, hit the ground running and perform from the jump
There is no logical reason to take a flyer on potential if the goal is to win the A10 and get back to the dance next March.

My answer was pretty clear. We should only do one thing right now...go after experienced proven scorers at every position. No development projects.
Ya know. Like this guy below.
Notice his list. Do you see Cincy, Texas A & M
Yes it is clear and short sighted. Watch us take your advice and Nowell live up to his 5*, top 30, high school ranking and kick our experienced, less talented, butts when we play the team he does go to. If you can get that kind of talent, get it. Get the experienced guy too. We CAN DO BOTH.

No. Because they want to get to the big dance..this is the only type of player vcu needs to target.
