Our incoming 6'6 scoring wing was recently named 1st team All-Met by the Washington Post! This highly prestigious honor is reserved for the best basketball players in the DC Metro area. He averaged 21.5 ppg and 12 rebounds per game. Our staff has high hopes for him as a scorer during the next 4 years. He has a gift for putting the ball in the basket.

Graham was also invited to the prestigious Capital Classic All-Star game in Upper Marlboro, MD at the Show Place arena. He will be playing the headline event as part of the Capital All-Stars going against a team of National All-Stars. He will be playing with Tyrone Johnson (Villanova), Darion Atkins (UVA), Greg Whittington (Georgetown) and Mikael Hopkins (Georgetown) against a very talented National squad. Sounds like a great game to check out if you are around that area!

Congratulations to Tre on a fine senior season and I'm sure we're all looking forward to what he can do on the court for the Rams!

So excited about him! Can't wait to see him in the black and gold.

While there are a bunch of unknowns going in to next season, I think there is also a ton of excitement! What's new next year:

Darius running the point
Rob/Troy starting at the 2
Toby/Juju starting at the 4
DJ/Juju/Toby starting at the 5

We get to see what Reco and Heath bring to the mix.
We get to see what Briante and Tre bring to the mix.

Actually I'm thinking about this some. And I'm curious to see what you think about this DB. I know we are all very high on Reco. Do you think we may see one of these lineups next year:

Darius
Rob
Reco
Brad
Big Guy

or

Darius
Brad
Reco
Toby
Juju/DJ

Brad as the 2 intrigues me a little. He's certainly capable!

I'm incredibly HYPE (is that right? It's hype not hyped right?)

Hype is an appropriate term in that context.

I could definitely see both of those lineups at points during the season. In fact, Brad has played the point this past season. He's very versatile. Of course a lot of our lineups will be match-up driven and we'll be pretty young so I wouldn't be surprised if we do some experimentation early on with the lineups. Brad definitely would seem like a prototypical 2 at the NBA level so I can see where you're coming from there.

Reco can absolutely play the 3 and likely will more often than not. He's really been working on his perimeter shot and should be able to have a nice impact as a freshman. He's been ready to play and contribute for a couple of months now. Heath should also surprise a bit I think. He's very skilled besides having a big body. Nice athleticism as well. Shaka has certainly been bringing in a better level of player. It's nice to see our freshmen all contributing significantly by the end of the year and I think that continues with Reco, Heath, Briante, and Tre next season. We'll be young but very exciting.

Just to reference how impressive this achievement is, Jon Arledge and Rashad Whack from George Mason were 3rd-team All-Met Selections in their senior seasons, and Cam Long and Vlad Moldeaveanu were both First-Teamers their senior seasons right after their Final Four run. Both of those guys are pretty darn good players who are playing in the Portsmouth Invitational this year after their senior seasons.

DB do you have a link to this? I'm having difficulty finding it on the Post website.

He averaged 21.5 ppg and 12 rebounds per game.

Who is the last recruit we had that was averaging those kind of numbers? Very impressive. Congrats to Tre for being honored.

Thanks DB. How do you keep from getting excited about this kid? I've got to curb my enthusiasm.

G Treveon Graham

St. Mary's Ryken / Sr.

Considered one of the area's best pure scorers, the 6-foot-6 guard was tough to defend because of his size and range. Averaged 21.5 points and 12 rebounds, scoring in double figures in every game. Will play for Virginia Commonwealth.
gotta love that....

Man with him/Burgess/Weber/Reco/Troy going be interesting to see how the SF/SG will turn out and what style he will use and who we redshirt.

I just see a constant onslaught of havoc. I mean you got Troy who can shoot lights out all day. You got burgess who can literally play every position on the floor. He can lead a team by making clutch shots, banging inside, or nailing a 3. Then there is Reco, big unknown but this kid dunked on the #5 pf in his class. He can shoot and he is going to be pretty. in 2-3 years this team will be nasty...

Wow look at his guns! Tre looks ready to play now. He will be a match-up problem for everyone.

You don't. ;)
especially when someone on here said he is going to be a 1,500 point scorer! That is going to be very impressive after only playing at vcu for 2 years and heading to the nba. :D

Reco im really most excited about. He was our biggest recruit coming into our class last year so who knows. One of these guys is going to blow us away next year but not sure who yet...MAYBE ALL OF THEM!
