Williamsburg - The William and Mary men’s basketball team won its third straight game, gutting out a 62-61 victory over instate foe Hampton on Wednesday night at Kaplan Arena. The Green and Gold equaled a school record with its fifth straight game of 10 or more 3-point field goals in tallying the win. The Tribe improved to 3-2 on the season, while Hampton fell to 0-4.

A one-point victory over a team that is 0-4? Granted, Hampton didn't make us look very good, either. We had a rough game down there. Hope we do better tonight.

Always better than a 1 point loss. I don't think they are going to finish at the top of the league, but W&M has started off much better than I expected. They are kind of filling the role that I expected JMU to have this year before they lost one of their top players to injury.

Make that 4 in a row for the Tribe as they just beat Wake Forrest at Wake. I hope we come out ready to play a week from today in Williamsburg. Defending the 3 point shot will be key in that one. We are second in the nation at that currently.

wow
