Duren has had a tremendous spring and he continued his great play this weekend at Reebok. In his first game Duren knocked down 5 3's in the first half and dished out plenty of assists. Duren is known for controlling the game and making his teammates better, but at this camp he displayed that he can also put the ball in the hole as well. Tyreke informed me that right now Umass was his leader but he was also looking at VCU, Virginia Tech, James Madison, Houston, and St. Bonaventure. Tyreke's play earned him a invite to the All American camp in July.

I guess Bill Courtney won't miss a step on this recruit. Just take off the VCU shirt, put on the Tech shirt and keep recruiting.

- Tyreek Duren, a 5-foot-10 point guard from nearby Neumann-Goretti High School and the Team Final AAU program indicated that the schools currently recruiting him are Miami, Virginia, UMASS, VCU, LaSalle, Temple and St. Bonaventure. He has not been hearing from Providence of late.

I really love this kid. Tony Chennault (Wake commit) has had a big rep since he was a FR. Tyreek was really an unkown outside of this area, until this past spring. Tony hasn't improved too much since he was younger and Tyreek has nearly caught up. Super quick handle. Can really attack and also pass some. Decent shooter as well.
