Greetings and congratulations from Blazer nation! The people at Blazertalk are very happy for y'all and will be cheering like mad to see y'all take down Calipari or Calhoun (it is so unfortunate that you have to face Butler now instead of the championship game).

Ever since this tournament started y'all were my 2nd favorite team to root for (brothers against ESPN and the 6-conference cartel!) and I am absolutely excited about how well VCU is doing.

I would have been rooting for the Rams regardless, but I have a special opportunity here in that VCU is on my very-short-list of potential places to be in school next August. As luck would have it, I will be in Richmond this upcoming weekend on a school visit and I imagine the 2nd biggest party of the year will be occurring on Saturday. I'll have my gold UAB shirt under something black, and I'll definitely be taking a VCU shirt back with me to Birmingham.

So, where should I go to watch and celebrate a Rams victory?

Mulligans, gus's, home team grill, the middle of broad street hopefully

I would HIGHLY recommend Home Team Grill at the corner of Main Street & S Vine Street. It gets packed fast and gets ridiculously crazy. If you don't get there at least 3 hours ahead of game time, you won't get in. But its worth it. (Relatively) cheap drinks and overall one of the best atmospheres outside of the Siegel Center.

I'll see if I can't squeeze myself a spot at Home Team Grill (and pour out to Broad St afters its done). Too bad their website has the wrong "home" teams in the banner. Hopefully y'all have done enough to change the tide and take the town.

Mulligans.

A couple other interesting options: if you like the Symphony, they have actually postponed the start of the Richmond Symphony concert to after the game is over (apparently they had a number of people request refunds). They will be showing the game on the big screen at the Carpenter Center, then having the concert after an intermission, all for the price of the concert.

Also I believe the National will be putting a big screen on their stage.

I'll prob be at Gus's since that's where most of my friends still in Richmond go (though I've never been there before).

I don't think anywhere in Richmond will be a bad place to watch it. I wish I could be in Houston and Richmond at the same time.

Pretty much any bar within the Richmond area will have a cult following, but I do think that Home Team Grill and Mulligans will be the best :P

I for one would love if they have it on a jumbotron on broad :)

I wish i could go to houston :(
