Big win for the Hawks. They had the lead most of the game and withstood a run by Penn State mid way through the 2nd then tacked a few more points on near the end.
 
Final score 80-69. UNCW turned the ball over 16 times (5 by Penn) but shot very well (almost 60%).
 
yeah I was keeping track of this one too, quite a nice win for the 'hawks. Do you think this is a return to form for them, or a flash in the pan?
 
Who knows, time will tell. I don't think we are going to know much about a lot of the teams until conference play starts. Even if it does turn out to be a one time thing it is good for the UNC-W fans who stuck with the team through last season.
 
I agree that it's a good win, but it's not like Penn State is a powerhouse BCS basketball program. UNCW still will be in the bottom half of the league IMO.
