UNCW fires Benny Moss

This makes me suddenly worry about the Trask game because now we don't know who will be coaching. Not mention that arena hasn't been nice to VCU.

I have been slightly concerned about this game just because of what happened last year, but I don't think this will make it any tougher. With less than a week to prepare a new coach or current assistant won't be able to do much differently.
 
Wow, Moss was only making $170K. That is not great pay for a historically good mid-major program in a strong conference. They might need to get serious about their pay for a head coach if they want to attract anyone worth a darn.
 
Really surprising mid-season.....Pat Kennedy may be sweating more than usual now...
 
He is under consideration, word is they have it down to a short list of select candidates from RamNation.... :lol:

Well, considering they play Towson at Home Saturday does it really matter who the coach is Sat?
Could this be the death nail for Pat if he loses badly to a team that just lost their head coach...

I could totally see Droopy Dog making a grand, WWF-style, entrance, for coming home to resounding applause from the Sock-Puppet lady, and the two other fans they have left.
 
My nephew goes to the Wil. Just talked to him. He says the students are excited about the prospect of Droopy's return. As I recall, they were pretty darn good some of his years, and solid the rest.
 
I don't know about "Droopy Dog" coming back...how many former coaches of successful programs left, then returned and how much success did they have afterwards? I guess thats a question for Joe Gibbs...

Good move for UNCW; just a few years too late...
