Update on Michael Bradley

I think what he means is that the verbal is non-binding the LOI is quickly becoming almost non-binding, since schools are under enormous pressure to release players from their LOI if they decide they want to leave (i.e., Eblen).

With as often as these kids change their minds, and unscrupulous coaches continuing to recruit and call them after they sign an LOI, you really can't count on anything being truly official until they enroll for classes.

I knew what he meant. I was just messing with him. I've been following college basketball since before Elvin Hayes and Lew Alcindor. I worry when we're down four, there's less than five seconds on the clock and the other guys have the ball.

Make it down 5. That is officially 2 possessions. ;) ;)

Eblin was released from his LOI with VCU due to a coaching change. That is a common occurence in the NCAA's. I can't think of many kids that have been released from their LOI just because they changed their minds with the same coaching staff that recruited them still at that school.

I'll still never forget the UNC game back in the 70s (before 3 point shots) and UNC was down 8 with 16 seconds left and came back to tie the game and win in OT. Forget who they were playing, but was an ACC game.

What a game.

You wanna talk comebacks? Look at that man in the avatar to the left. That guy invented the comeback story!

Because inquiring RamNation minds want to know, I contacted the sports writer today that covers local bb and Bradley's recruiting for the The Chattanooga Newspaper

Mr. xxx[Ramjamfam to you],

Michael was planning to make his decision today, but I just don¹t think he¹s
ready yet. I spoke with Gerald Harris (Tyner¹s coach) and he believes that
it¹s going to be awhile. Drake and Uconn were going to be his final two
choices, but it just seems that a part of him is wanting the process to end,
but another part realizes this is a major decision for him.

Coach Harris mentioned a lot of schools still in the mix, including VCU,
Georgia and Utah, so I think it might be a few more weeks before he decides.

I¹m on top of his recruiting as best as I can be, and will keep you informed
< if nothing else, via breaking news on our website.

Please don't fill Gene's e-mail box with inquiries. I'm sure he will print the latest ASAP, and we can all follow as interest dictates at web site above. Hope this helps.

I thought you should know that your post made it's way to Drakenation....the power of the internet, and all that.

I thought you should know that your post made it's way to Drakenation....the power of the internet, and all that.

Thanks. Folks come to RamNation for the real scoop!

For what's it's worth, Scout's is showing Bradley as having made 5 visits, but only shows "high" interest from three of the 5 schools he visited [as of today]: Conn., Drake and VCU. Georgia and Boston College are listed as medium
