I believe he could be the first in VCU history to win 3 CAA titles as well.

I am assuming you are referring to CAA tourney titles, but is he the only one besides maynor to have 3 regular season championships?

TJ was there for all three.

yes...I know that lol, but are he and Maynor the only 2 poeple that have 3 regular season titles? Or did some of the those folks back in the 80's get 3?

Yeah, I was talking about the tourney title. If we win it this year then TJ would be the first VCU player to win 3. We weren't in the CAA back in the 80's so those guys were playing for something else.

They've updated the bios again today. Not all of the headers are done yet, but they should be done shortly.

Great job by the AD on the bios! Now I'm even more fired up for this season to start! We've got some serious talent on this team and I'm excited to see who will step up to become the starting PG.

I was unable to open the highlight reel under Sanders Spotlight. Internet Explorer and our Athletics site don't seem to work well together!

Media Day tomorrow. Let's get this thing started!!!

Can He Hit the Moneyball?: When his teammates were asked who from this year’s team would win a three-point shooting contest, Gavin and freshman Troy Daniels each received five votes.

Jack of All Trades: When the team filled out surveys on their teammates, Rodriguez received votes for funniest, loudest, most likely to win a three-point contest and most likely to win a H-O-R-S-E competition.

So according to the team our best shooters are...
1. Joey
2. Jay Gavin
2. Troy Daniels

that's a nice surprise from our freshman troy daniels. I hadn't really heard much about him.

If Gavin and Daniels Each received 5 votes wouldnt that mean they were tied for first as the best 3pt shooter since there are only 14 players on the team?

Yes, I believe Joey just received one or two votes not the most. Keep in mind that we return the top 2 3 point shooters in the CAA based on % in Joey and Bradford. That is saying a lot about Jay and Troy that their teammates believe that they are now the top 2 on the team. Hopefully the AD will find a big company to pony up for the 3 point t-shirts this year. Those could get expensive.
