quote} [Amazing] Maynor continues to play very well as the backup point guard in camp. He got a bit tired last night and made some more mistakes than usual, but he has shown a strong ability to get where he wants on the floor, to play in control and to get the team into its offense. The coaching staff will have a tough decision on how to distribute the limited backup point guard minutes.[/quote]

I wonder why he seems tired. Doesn't sound like Eric.

NBA plays a lot of games. Much harder on the body than college. He should adjust.

Also don't forget that right after the UCLA game he started working out for NBA teams, then he was drafted and started hitting the gym, summer league, practice, exhibition games. He really didn't have an off season this year. Between that and the length of the NBA season well as the extensive travel he will likely have an off night every once in a while. Hopefully by year two he will be fully adjusted. I still think he will turn a lot of heads this year though.

I am not making excuses for him because he doesn't need them, but don't forget that he is use to being a starter and is known for being a second half guy. It has been a while since he has come off of the bench. That has to be a bit of an adjustment as well.
