i get so tired of these big money schools and their fans making excuses as to why they won't play us.

but but, there's nothing to gain. but but, you wouldn't play us either if you were the AD. but but it's too risky.

f that. uva and vpi should play us at least once every few seasons. there should be no excuses and no whining.

and no, just because someone grows up a fan of said bcs school doesn't mean they have to defend them. i grew up a maryland fan due to family alum and growing up near there, and i make no excuses for the pathetic antics gary williams and umd constantly display. i still root for em, but i will never go to bat for them in arguments such as this.

I am not going to discuss Shaka - - decided to keep my opinions to myself as it relates to what kind of job he is doing (you're welcome). My post referenced Bennett, not coach Smart.

Didn't mean that VCU is a lower major, but that there's a pretty big disparity between the majors and the mids and we are clearly not a rival to them - - I don't get the dislike for that program like I get the dislike for UR and ODU.

Yes it referenced Bennett, but I just don't understand how you can praise him yet say the things you have said about Coach Smart. Bennett has a ton of experience, his expectations should be much higher, yet their results have been very similar so far. If any thing Shaka has the better record.

Look, I don't have a big issue with Smart and have made no recent comments about him. He seems to be adjusting and that's good.

Fair enough, you just jumped on him a little early into his career for my liking. I see that you are starting to come around now. What are the chances of you putting up a Coach Smart avatar at some point?
