VCU after next Larry Sanders?

Mentions that we are going after both

Amdy Fall, 6'6 long armed wing out of NYC and Jamari Traylor (previously mentioned). It goes on to mention Traylor visiting in the near future. It says if we can get one or both then we could have a top frontcourt in 2012 when most of the CAA will be weak up front (especially JMU and ODU).

Oh, it also says we're a better shotblocking team without Larry than we were with him.

Hope we can land one/both of these guys. The coaches are doing a great job of bringing in guys that fit our style of play.

Love how Shaka is all over the map on these recruits. Chicago, NY, got DJ out of California, Rob out of Ohio.

Go get em coach

shaka can't recruit guys over 6'7" from Alaska...(is that considered a jab or a punch from the "new posting rules?")

I get the feeling the staff hasn't been that impressed with the in-state talent.

quite honestly I don't really care where they recruit as long as they are bringing in awesome guys.

completely agree. I think Rob is a prime example. I am also excited to see Reco next year. He seems to fit the mold coach is looking for too. Fast, long reach and a high motor.

My favorite future player, yet to step foot on campus, is T Graham. Why? He plays in a tough, competitive area in DC where he is putting up some serious numbers. He has great size and can play multiple positions. He committed to us and signed without an issue, ala Rob.

Maybe they do not feel as if they have the connections they need to get some of the top prospects, yet...

Perhaps, but you'd think that process would go a little quicker than establishing connections in the Bronx.

Update of Amdy Fall and the game that our staff caught the other day.

gotta love this...

Fall is uniquely long, sporting a massive wingspan and freakish jumping ability. These qualities, combined with great timing and a high defensive IQ, make the forward the perfect fit for any program that hopes to build on defense
