Just received the following email from VCU Athletics

Ram fans:

Tomorrow's men's basketball game against Georgia State (January 30th) will be played as scheduled. Game time is 8:00 p.m. with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. Normal parking procedures will be followed.

If you have any questions or concerns do not hesitate to contact us. Please check vcuathletics.com for additional updates.

Be safe and enjoy the snow.

If it does snow a lot, it will keep a large portion of what could have been a near sellout from attending. At least it will be televised. Keep it rolling, steam rolling that is. GO RAMS!
 
Virginia Commonwealth University Because of the impending Severe Winter Weather, the Homecoming Chill & Grill planned for Sat, 1/30 has been postponed. The event is now planned to occur on Sat, 2/6 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm leading into the 4:00 pm ODU game. The revised Chill & Grill schedule will be posted on the Homecoming website on Mon, 2/1. We are... encouraging students, alumni & friends of VCU to attend the official Homecoming game against George State on 1/30 & also come out for the Chill & Grill & game against ODU on 2/6. Because of the difficulty for people to get to Richmond for the 1/30 game, we will postpone the crowning of the Homecoming King and Queen until the Residence Hall Step Off on Mon, 2/1 at 7:00 pm in the Siegel Center. Please continue to monitor the VCU Homecoming Facebook page and Homecoming website for additional details. Please email Dr. Carolyn Whittier with questions ([email protected]).

Wow, so did Pav detest the "No BYOB" and then will the snow storm of a century causing the Chill & Grill event to be postponed? Pav+Mother Nature = No Chill & Grill. Maybe VCU should seriously reconsider the whole BYOB thing before Pav get's really pissed. :twisted:
 
Sat games seem to be at 2 pm, 6 pm, 7 pm, 7:30 pm, and at 8 pm.

Makes it hard sometimes for some people to follow/attend rams games. Those of us who are diehard fans can easily find the times. But not sure about the casual fan.

Anyway, I hope to be in a hotel room somewhere around lewisburg, wv after a day of skiing at winterplace. Temp tomorrow morning to early afternoon is supposed to be around 8 degrees....freakin cold!

But I have partially neglected my ram duties this season. While I have followed my rams religiously, I haven't attended any games. That 5 1/2 hour drive to richmond does me in...I'm an old fart...lol!
 
Any update on the game? Is there any chance of postponement? I was going to come up today for the game, but my fiance won't let me now with the road conditions. At first, I was a little pissed but now I don't blame her after seeing there has been 662 crashes, 445 disabled vehicles and 1,309 calls for service in Virginia between 6 p.m. Friday and noon today.
 
The game is going to happen. VCU sent out confirmation a couple hours ago.
 
grabbing my shower now, and hitting the road soon should be a fun drive in from chesterfield. just have to watch out for the other drivers.

Will be there with the whole family. Just drove from the west end to Chesterfiled with no problems. Just took forever!! Low clearance cars are having problems because of the "banks" created by the plows.

Ain't no big deal!! See everyone at the game .........
