The VCU Athletics Department would like to thank you for your generous support of our student-athletes. Even during tough economic times, our alumni, fans and friends were generous in support of VCU Athletics.
With 2010 coming to a close, you still have an opportunity to receive an additional tax deduction. You can make a restricted gift to one or all of our 14 varsity athletic programs or
support our pep band or dance and cheer squads. This is a tremendous opportunity to make a restricted gift to a particular program and concurrently receive the 2010 tax deduction.
This end-of-year restricted giving campaign is in conjunction with the first student-athlete phone-a-thon, which took place earlier this fall. Current VCU student-athletes called former athletes and friends who participated in their specific sport and asked for restricted gifts. It was a huge success! If you participated in the student-athlete phone-a-thon, we thank you for your generous contribution.
Please note that all gifts contributed by Dec. 31, 2010, will be counted for tax purposes toward the 2010 calendar year and will be added to your total giving for the 2010-2011 giving year. Gifts must be submitted before midnight Dec. 31 to receive tax benefits. Additionally, a restricted gift will count toward your priority points and all other Ram Athletic Fund benefits, excluding benefits associated with season ticket priority seating.
