ODU's baseball coach is returning to South Carolina to become the school's pitching coach. The Va Pilot article mentions two possible candidates, one a former VCU assistant and the other our current coach Keyes.

A likely candidate would be Western Kentucky coach Chris Finwood, a Hampton High graduate who has led the Hilltoppers to consecutive NCAA tournament trips. Finwood was hired by Selig at WKU after assistant coaching stints at VMI, VCU and Auburn. Finwood is a graduate of VMI.

Also expected to be in the running is VCU coach Paul Keyes, an ODU alumnus and Newport News native.

I think all ODU fans wish Meyers the best of luck at South Carolina...returning to where he was before he was at ODU with the same position. Anyway right now Nate Goulet is going to be the interim head coach so this most likely will be a full year process for searching for a new coach...unless if Gou does an absolute phenomenal job in the spring.
