The 6-foot-6 junior is described as "an athletic, face-up power forward who is as tough as nails," according to ESPN Recruiting Coordinator Reggie Rankin.

"He competes on both ends of the floor and at times has the playing mentality that reminds me of Tyler Hansbrough (North Carolina).

"Kasey attacks the basket for rebounds and is extremely tough to box out because of his relentless effort. He runs the floor well and is an above the rim finisher with authority on the break," Rankin addd. "He can pick and pop and hit the open jumper comfortably inside the arc as well and is an active shot blocker especially away from the ball."

Rankin is very impressed by this land for head coach Shaka Smart and his staff.

WOOHOOO!!!

HUGE GET!!!

was recruited by Georgia, Auburn, Syracuse, Oklahoma State, South Florida and Michigan

Looks like a keeper. I wonder if he was at the game on Saturday night as well? Great stuff.

darn, when was the last time we got a non-foreign white kid?
(sorry to be brash, but i know everyone is thinking it)

Nice get! First of 5 scholarships to be filled for the 2011 class. 89 on ESPN and currently a junior. Looks good to me!

The staff is absolutely stoked about this kid.

Yeah, but he's under 6'7".

Very nice job. I'm gonna have to take a trip across Alligator Alley and catch him in action.

I'd like to see Davante Gardner prep one year and come to VCU! Smart has some kids down in SC he is after and then the white kid from PA for 2012. Sky is the limit.
