Recruiting VCU makes Adlan Elamin’s final Three

Big offer
So how does that conversation go?

We have a bag for you
Great! Can I visit this weekend? I'm anxious to commit.
No you have to commit sight-unseen now or there's no offer.

Maybe he has family in the corn belt.

I was at last years B&G game

VCU: “Everything was really nice on my visit. I like their coaching staff a lot and I like the way they do things over there. The way they have stuff over there for their players and the development piece is nice. I also like their facilities and it’s close to home.”

def could have visited on his own time

Honestly I have no clue why anyone would commit to a school so early, to a school so far away, that he has never visited. And one that just offered. Iowa is not everyone's cup of tea.

Who knows. I will remain hopeful even if I can't be confident
I would say that Iowa is number 3 in the pecking order. I think the Iowa listing is a business decision. I know the MD insider says its USU and he did that with a confidence of 6 out of 10 less than two hours ago but I wouldn't rule VCU out yet. (Although he is 13/13 with his predictions for the class of 25)

As to what I mean that Iowa is a business decision. If he doesn't go P4 and blows up at the MM level, his NIL value will increase and it will be an easy sell to say he was a P4 talent out of HS. If he goes P4(Iowa) and doesn't light it up, his NIL value decreases. I also don't think his style of play fits Iowa

wait should we start saying p5 again, now that the pac12 is getting back together?

The Pac-12 lost its "power" status last year, so they're not a power conference.
In your view or in the view of sport media and the NCAA? Or simply because they don't have the membership needed? ( don't know so I am simply asking)

In the view of the NCAA. They lost their autonomous status with the mass defections. It’s not a guarantee that they get it back. The PAC will be eligible for a CFP auto bid once they reach 8. All FBS conferences are eligible however.

what is the autonomous status? didn’t realize that power conference was an official title

He got a prediction to Utah State 2 days ago on 247 and it's coming after his visit there, so probably Utah State.

Weird little thing that Odom was at Utah State and is here, then this kid is from VA and chooses Utah State with VCU making his top 3 too.
