Recruiting VCU makes Silas Barksdale's final 3

247Sports says he's "cool" on VCU. Seems that page needs an update.

My experience is that they aren't accurate for any program outside the very top tier. We have more than once actually signed kids for whom we are not listed at all

I find most of the services inaccurate and incomplete regarding the Rams. VC and others list players as wrong status (even after classes have begun). Rivals and another service don’t even bother to display a VCU logo, just a generic V. The last disrespect really irritates me!
 
Silas Barksdale is exactly what VCU needs and has needed for some time. He is a big bodied big-man and is a rebounding machine. He is a real load in the paint and would be the perfect complement to Luke in the front court. VCU has been on Silas since the day Ryan got here. As stated earlier Miami did not offer until the Peach Jam. Hopefully the time we have invested and the distinct need will help carry the day. Silas also comes from a great family and excellent program at Woodside in Newport News.
