VCU Media Mentions

Why do you think they aren’t factoring in future games? How else do you think they come up with the percentages?
Yeah, if it was just based on the standings then Mason would be at 100% since they're in 1st by a full game.

I'm sure the percentages are based on current standings. VCU is in second place, one game behind fmason. If you look at the percentages, they are weighted based on current standings. Each column should add up to 100%.

Ron McGovney: Man these guys are dorks

If anyone looking like those dudes walked into a bar in The Devil's Triangle back in the day, a couple of bikers woulda beat them to a pulp for the fun of it.

Speaking of Devil’s Triangle. When did that area turn into a UR hangout? We went to Belmont Pizza before the VCU/UR game and they only had Richmond schedules on their countertop and wall.

Things began their metamorphosis back in the late 70s when a dude named Disco Danny got his leg severed between a tree and a car bumper hit by a disgruntled female who tried to run him down. Skin hung on that tree for months, sidewalk in front of the 711 toward Cafe21.

Speaking of Devil's Triangle, if you (or anyone) haven't been to the Texas Inn, I heartily recommend the Cheesy Western. Had one yesterday. They're glorious.

With that aside, I used to live at Monument and Shepherd, right across from Devil's Triangle. It's very, very different now, for sure. Back then, we used to sit on our front porch and listen to the sounds of fights and bottles breaking until late in the night. I decided to walk over to one of the bars that had pool tables one night. I took one step in, looked around, and realized that place was NOT for a kid who grew up relatively sheltered in a rural part of NOVA.

They didn’t play around at the ritz

Ollie’s Ritz, toughest place in town. Across the street was the Rainbow if I recall correctly.

Buddy's is just down the block. A U of R hangout. Plus, there is a wine & cheese place just up Sheppard.
