1. First Time a Play in team has advanced past the Round of 64. (Previous Years all play-in game winners were eliminated by the #1 over all seed in the round of 64).

2. The First time VCU has won more then 1 game in the NCAA Tournament.

3. The first time VCU has advanced to the Sweet 16, Elite 8 and Final Four

When the tournament started VCU had a 5-9 record in NCAA tournaments. We now have a winning record That is the first time in program history that has ever happened.
