Here are clips of 3 stories on Amdy Fall. He would be a nice addition!
Amdy Fall Continues Stellar Play leading Wings to a Win
Posted: February 9, 2011

Fall scored 21 points 15 rebounds and 13 blocks as Wings Academy blasted South Bronx by 51 points in the quarterfinals of the Bronx Borough Playoffs. Up next is Gompers that are 0-2 in the regular season. Fall currently hold offers from Marist, Hartford and Drexel, while St. Peter, St. Bonaventure, VCU, Kent State, Columbia, Elon and LIU has shown strong interest.
Another game:
Call Amdy Fall the ultimate insurgency policy – a bailout plan of sorts.
“When we are in man-to-man we feel like we can put as much pressure on the ball as possible,” Wings Academy point guard Deonte Houston said…”Knowing that if our man beats us he is there for help.”
That was the formula that worked to perfection from the second quarter on. The Wings guards got up in their Eagle Academy counterparts and Fall contested and changes countless shots in game. The senior center scored 16 points, grabbed 12 rebounds and blocked 11 shots in an impressive 78-56 win against the Eagles in a battle of the top two teams in PSAL Bronx AA boys basketball Tuesday. OLDER STORY FROM JAN 22 BELOW
As the word spreads, 6’7″ Wings Academy senior forward Amdy Fall is slowly but surely sparking increasing interest amongst college programs.
On Sunday, a few programs traveled to Ramapo College to see the shot blocker in person against Paramus Catholic in the NJ vs. NY Showdown. The defensive specialist did not disappoint.
According to Fall, both VCU and Hartford were in the building to size-up the Wings big-man. In addition, other reports confirmed that Marist head coach Chuck Martin was at the event, scouting the shot-blocker.

Not bad but still hope we have a chance with Junior Fortunat. Thats a PF we need to get if we have a chance.

I like the sound of a defensive/rebounding oriented forward. I see DJ as a defense presence, but look at JR and redshirts [McCarter/Health] more as offensive oriented...so another rebouner/defender upfront in year's ahead could be a very good fit. [I'll leave it to coaches...they are doing an excellent job of recruiting].

I think next year we'll have much better size with haley/reddic/veal/burgess returning and adding in houston and mccarter. I'd still like to pick up one more big man. A guy like amdy fall wouldn't be bad to develop, though junior fortunat would be perfect. Then we'd maybe need a true point man to develop and we'd have two great back to back recruiting classes... i still think the last recruiting class was pretty darn impressive, a lot of athleticism out of those 5 guys

you can't be serious...unless you mean we are going to be taller lol. Losing skeen is huge and will hurt a lot on the offensive side of the ball. We run our offense through skeen and without him in there we have no dominate low block scorer. One of these guys might develop in that area but not by next year.

I think he meant better size/depth compared to this season, which is true. Right now you're right...Jamie is doin' 90% of the heavy lifting down low....Next season, however, the frosh will have gained valuable experience, Veal will be better acclimated, and Houston will be in the mix.

Yes, jamie is great big man who is our leaeing scorer and has the offense run through him. However its no secret they we are a guard heavy team this year (heck, Brad was one of our two "big men" in the first half of the season while veal was out). What I think morange is saying is while we lose Jamie, we gain two new big guuys in reco and heath plus 3 more who have gained an incredible amount of experience this year. IMO we could very well have the best front court in the CAA next year and be downright scary by 2012-2013.

yeah i poorly worded that statement, i was more meaning that we are going to have more options for our frontcourt next year than we did this year... i mean at the beginning of this season, outside skeen we were hoping for a incoming freshman and transfer to do the heavy lifting along with skeen. In hindsight it really wasn't realistic, but next year we will have three frontcourt players with playing experience in haley, reddic, and veal, along with being able to plug burgess down there as well. We will also have houston being added into the squad, with perhaps mccarter also playing the #4 spot at times when we need him to, in a similar role as burgess. So we will have more options and fluidity in that area in our team, though i agree losing skeen will be a huge blow and we have no one on our roster who will be able to replace his production down low anytime soon
