VCU RUNS UNBEATEN STREAK TO SEVEN GAMES WITH 2-0 SHUTOUT AT GEORGIA STATE
ATLANTA, Ga. – Virginia Commonwealth University freshman forward Jason Johnson (pictured, right) scored a pair of goals, the first of his career, and the Rams increased their league-leading unbeaten streak to seven games following a 2-0 win at Georgia State on Wednesday evening.

VCU, which posted its fourth shutout of the season, improves to 4-1-3 overall and 1-0-1 in Colonial Athletic Association play. With the loss, Georgia State falls to 4-2-2, 1-1-0 in conference action.

"Tonight was a dominating performance from start to finish," said VCU Head Coach Dave Giffard. "I was very proud of the way we displayed patience to keep the ball for long periods of time while we probed looking for chances to get in. We did well to finish off the game tonight with a shutout and it was nice to get Jason Johnson on the board with his first two goals. Now we move on and prepare for Saturday's game against a very good George Mason team."
