RICHMOND, Va. – Virginia Commonwealth University learned late Monday night that it will have at least one more game on its schedule during the 2009-10 campaign as the Rams received an at-large berth into the Postseason Women’s National Invitation Tournament.

VCU, which has won at least 20 games each of the last three seasons, will travel to St. Joseph’s on Thursday; however, game times have not yet been announced. Should the Rams advance to the second round, they would face the winner of Penn State/Hofstra March 20-23.

A total of five Colonial Athletic Association teams will participate in the WNIT with James Madison as the league’s lone representative in the NCAA Tournament.

It was great win. Playing on the road and slowly grinding it out to win it. We can beat Hostra. If we do, then that will be the best performance for the women's team and working their way up to the quarterfinals. Nothing would be sweeter than winning on Sunday. GO RAMS!
