VCU to play in Las Vegas tourney during December

So no Jamie Skeen for Richmond but we will have him for this tournament

The Orleans has a very nice arena that seats 9000. The minor league hockey team plays there. The arena is separate from the hotel but connected by a walkway. Its a very nice place. UNLV has started playing a home game there every year while the rodeo is in town. The rodeo will be gone by the time this tournament is played. The women will play in Cox Pavillion which is attached to Thomas and Mack.

The league Gonzaga is in started playing their conference tournament at the Orleans last year.
 
I hope ODU plays Louisville, UNC, and Mich St. this year. In fact I hope all of the CAA plays the hardest schedule posible for a mid major conf. It only helps....

Our sched. is seriously looking good. The best i've seen in over a decade. Mostly because of our home sched.

So we are at 27 games so far. I assume other three are away games...

I'd think one would be at Hampton, perhaps at W. Mich, and other ???

Right now, not many. Western Michigan is due a return game. There was talk about Long Beach State, but that was before Grant left, so it may have been nixed. I heard rumors of a trip south, but I was threatened with my life if I gave it up without confirmation. I'll give a hint- think Charleston Heston and Edward G. Robinson and add what I hate the most. No posts please- PM if you want to guess.

If I get killed tonight you guys know what happened. :o
 
also, as we've seen before with other rumors, until we hear it from VCU, lets not book any flights.

please don't tell me we are going back to HU after what happened last time.
 
I think the hampton series is done. We do owe W. Michigan a game...if the Las Vegas deal is 4 games then we get 2 more home games (like last year) and then 2 in vegas...can't see why it would change..since its an exempt tourney i think it only counts as one game total...wow that would give us about 20 home games next year !
