VCU to play in Las Vegas tourney during December

I'm not sure who's saying that VCU is not in this tournament.....but our director of media services still says you are one of the four main teams.....

The other three men's basketball teams competing in the Las Vegas Classic on Dec. 19-21 are San Diego, San Francisco and Virginia Commonwealth.

I talked to our AD within he past week and can say that we are 100% not involved in this tournament. We already have a game scheduled on the 19th (although it may be moved to the 20th.)

I looked at your schedule thread and don't see you listed in any other event....I can't believe any school would opt not to play in an in-season tournament due to the exempt status of the games.

With both our AD and director of media services stating VCU as one of the participants, I'd be surprised if this doesn't end up being the case.

Check again, we're playing @ Tulane on the 20th.

In regards to he Vegas tournament, I was told it was a possibility at one point, but a couple (high major) teams pulled out, we decided to do the same.

I was asking what exempt tournament you are playing in if its not this one? I can't see any program skipping the opportunity to participate in an exempt event when four games count as only one towards your maximum number of games.

Unless you are scheduled for any other in season tournament, I can't believe that your AD would take one game at Tulane over participating in this Vegas tournament?
